Week 2

The Owatonna Robotics team has been working diligently this week, making strong progress on the robot while continuing to train and support new team members.

Significant time has been spent on CAD designing for the shooter and the intake, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and smooth integration with the rest of the robot. This careful planning is helping bring the robot closer to completion.

On the build team, members are constructing prototypes for both the intake and shooter mechanisms as the final CAD designs are being created. Additionally, they are building the hub, which is the scoring structure of this year’s game.

Meanwhile, the electrical team has been preparing various electrical components for the kitbot and focusing on teaching newer members the fundamentals of robot wiring and electronics. In addition, the team has been testing and evaluating batteries to identify those in proper working condition, a key step toward ensuring the robot runs safely and consistently during practice and in competition.

Overall, it has been a productive week filled with learning, collaboration, and steady progress as the team progresses with the build season.
